Abound Credit Union , formally known as, Fort Knox Federal Credit Union (NCUA # 7000) has what is considered “easy” membership because unlike many credit unions, they allow people to become members that are outside of their general marketing area. Its field of membership now includes members of American Consumer Council which is free and open to anyone. Membership is also open to the following: 1) active duty or retired Military, Reserve, Guard, or civil service employee and their relatives; 2) those who live, work, attend school or worship in Boyle, Breckinridge, Grayson, Hart, Larue, Meade, Nelson or Taylor counties in Kentucky. Credit union membership requires a $10 one-time fee and a minimum $5 balance in the share savings account.
